Craig is a co-founder, President, member of the Board of Directors of the Mallitz Investment Group.
Craig spent 7.5 years with SAC Capital and CR Intrinsic as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst. While at SAC/CR Intrinsic, Craig managed a portfolio focused on Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) and was a senior analyst for 5 years on a portfolio focused on TMT. Including his years as an analyst his or team returns were positive 6 of the 7 years.
Craig was ranked in top tier of all SAC analysts for 5 years and was named by Institutional Investor Top Hedge Fund Analyst – Telecommunications in 2008. Prior to SAC/CR Intrinsic, he was a Vice President, Senior Analyst for wireless services for Legg Mason from 2000-2004. During his tenure he was named by the Wall Street Journal “Best of the Street” Wireless Services Stock Picking (#1, 2003) and by Institutional Investor – “Best of the Boutiques and Regionals” Telecom Services/Wireless (#1, 2003).
Craig is a 1992 BA graduate of the University of Wisconsin and earned his MBA while working in 1997 from Marymount University. Craig lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida and is married with three children.
David is a co-founder, Consultant, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Mallitz Investment Group.
David is the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer at DeBartolo Holdings, LLC. He brings more than 20 years of experience in finance and transactional experience to the company and is responsible for DeBartolo’s financial management, including accounting, reporting, planning and analyses. Mallitz joined DeBartolo Holdings, LLC in 2002 as Senior Vice President-Tax and was promoted to Executive VP/Chief Financial Officer in 2008. DeBartolo Holdings manages and directs the DeBartolo portfolio of entities, real estate investments and diversified holdings. Mallitz holds several management positions with the DeBartolo group of companies including Executive VP-Tax, DeBartolo Holdings LLC; Executive VP, DeBartolo Development LLC; Treasurer, DeBartolo Family Foundation; Board member and Treasurer, Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School; Treasurer of the DeBartolo Opportunity Funds I and II, Executive VP of NID Corporation, Board Member of Famiglia-DeBartolo LLC and Board Member of DeBartolo Hytec. He also serves on the Baseball Stadium Finance Caucus committee headed by Chuck Sykes and other local community leaders.
David serves as the Managing Member of Elogic Learning LLC, a local online learning company, maintains ownership in five assisted and independent living facilities in Florida and North Carolina as well as various other residential and commercial real estate properties throughout Florida and the continental United States. A Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) graduate (Bachelor of Science in Business – Accounting and Finance), Mallitz is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
Before joining DeBartolo, he worked in public accounting for 12 years for several national accounting firms, including Arthur Andersen (Dayton, Ohio) and Deloitte &Touche (Dayton, Ohio and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.). He specialized in the area of taxation with an emphasis in the real estate, construction and manufacturing industries. He also has a concentration in the areas of tax planning for high wealth individuals/families and the structuring of Mergers, Acquisitions and Dispositions of business entities.
Mallitz resides in Tampa, Fla., and is married with two children.
Randy is a co-founder of the Mallitz Investment Group and Chairman of the Board.
Randy has spent the past forty + years running strategic business units (i.e., EAR Specialty Composites, Kardon Industries) from a family owned business to major fortune fifty companies. Randy has a strong investing/venture capital experience, from 1996 – 2008, sold the same business three times in four years while working for three different venture capital firms from Europe and the US. Multiples ranged from 6.4x-11.2x with the final sale to 3M in March 2008. He has extensive experience in the management of companies up to six-hundred million in both consumer and manufacturing. That experience required developing the exit strategy to creating the vision, key initiatives, objectives as well as selecting the management team to implement the program.
Randy is presently a board of directors member of Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS), is married with two children and lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
